Autumn Leaves

As I sit on the Train

Gazing out of the Window pane

Autumn trees are all Aflame

Orange, red and pinks Glow

And yet It's not a time of Growth

But a time of approaching Death

As soon there will Be no leaves left

It's not Seen as a curse

But an opportunity for One last burst

And as Each leaf Shines it's colours

I Know there can never be Another

Moment quite like This

Astounded by this Fiery Kiss

I Wonder

Do They Know?

As they Wave in the wind Together

That Soon they will start to wither

And shrivel

The Trees and the Earth,  Live on though...

And so

Perhaps that's why they're All so Bright

Celebrating the Cycles

of Eternal Life
