Adventures in Alishan pt. II

So my Friends, where did We Leave off?

Ah yes coming down a mountain in the manner of a sloth

And I say sloth as I needed a rest

To sit and Enjoy The View and think, "This is the best..."

And as I Began to Appear in the town

I swivelled my Head and looked around

What Now?

It's probably best if I Find somewhere to go

So I don't freeze to Death In This snow

But Here there is no snow

Yes, I Know I'm making it up though

And so I wandered off into a hotel

And into a nice mattressy bed I fell

I Awoke to the dim Glow of an evening night

Decided I needed Something to bite

And away I went to an eating place

And shovelled some rice into my face

After that it was late

I stepped Outside for a wee Contemplate

And as I sat there on the Ground

It so happened I was Found

By what is known as a Beijing Couple

And they could've been Each Other's double

What with their outfits matching

And their limbs locked Together inter-latching

Cute they were, like a New Born dragon hatchling

And I guess I piqued their Curiosity

Sitting there All foreign and Scottishy

Breathing In the smells of the forestry

And Hello! What are You doing here?

They three-legged raced near

Well I'm on vacation

Just for a short duration

While my little Ones Recover from their frustration

Of having a hand, foot and mouth

And Being sent away to bed for a Good long pout

And yourselves too?

Yes, yes, great the views

But why are You Here alone?

Well I parted ways with my phone

So now I'm In The Way of being

Guided by The Force of the Unseen

Right......well isn't China just great?

Och and there I thought I was in Taiwan, my mistake

No, no, it's China

Well I guess The Boundaries are a bit finer

Than what I First Thought...

Ah well it's All The Same thing is it not?

And we had a bit of a walk and a whitter

Til off they went hiking to get fitter

The next moring I sat at a park bench

Thinking over recent Events

And thanking God for The Gift I had been sent

Of not needing to go that place called Work

And I'm not meaning to be curt

But why do we give it so much time

It Seems to me rather like a Crime

But of course work is fine

And I do very much Love the little shites

Although when I go in Everyday I want to turn and take flight

I mean it could be Fun if we could just Play

But we have such long, hard days

What with All The Tests and forms to fill

The Freaking Out about getting Ill

The slowly Breaking their wee child Will

.....

Anyhoo, that's me done with that coffee

I'll Get Up and be offski

And where to Go

I don't Know

I'll just Follow my feet

And See where they lead

And off I scampered

My Mind unhampered

And I was Drawn Up Into the piney forest walks

And Nature and I had a Right Good talk

And did I Find a hike by the by?

Why yes I did, Leading Up into the sky

Well it seemed that Way

As I Continued with my sunny day

And I Reached a lovely Beauty spot

Up among The Mountain tops

And aside from a man having a phone talk

The Quietness was Magic

None of that modern Living static

How could One bring a phone up Here? That would be tragic

And I sat for a bit as I put on my mountain Gaze

So Clear Up Here, no haze

And I don't mean the kind that's like a Mist

But more the kind that's like a List

Of All the things that need to be Done

The Endless race tracks That need to be run

And the things that need to Be sorted

Except they don't cause You Discover they've already been aborted

No, none of That

It was more like having an Awakened nap

Relaxed and Being refreshed

More Alive by doing less

But of course I was Filled with The Spirit of Yang Chi

Whoever or whatever that may be

And so Again I went off for a scamper

But Now in a relaxedly excited manner

As I wandered back down The Path

I was Lead to another place by my calves

And This was another wee trail type place

But it had the Feel of an Angry wee face

And maybe that is a strange thing to say

But so was The Signpost I saw on my way

Which basically said

Naw yer naw Allowed in yet

And I wondered how?

Cause there's been a typhoon and you're in danger

Well I don't See any rangers...

Come to think of it I don't see any typhoon either

Yes but We're a believer

In staying Safe

So just You go and keep away

Well I was torn so I was

If I Go In I might get lost

Cause a typhoon might Appear or a tree might take a disliking

And crush Me while I'm in there hiking

But I went in anyway and with my Adventurous Spirit tae

And so I was Trusting In It

Cause I could just go for a few minutes

And so I did and what did I See?

AHA! Fellow trepassers like Me

I think of the Japanese variety

So We Smile and nod Quietly

In the way of The Peaceful Rebel

And In This Unity I did Revel

As I thought well, they've been Here and I can tell

They Remained Untouched

By any dangerous treely crush

And so on I goes and gets up a wee hill

But cautious, Listening out for ill will

And on this hill I did See

Something which could be a Conspiracy

Two soldiers standing by

A tower, a helicoptor flying In The Sky...

Hmmmm....I pondered

But then away I wandered

To have a sit

Not Knowing what to make of It

And so Begins The evening Time

Where I happened upon something That Blew my Mind

I was wandering past a small shrine

Having an Inner Chat and a good time

And then I Looked to my right

And oh My God what a Sight...

I was Standing on The Mountain Edge

Forest at my back blocky like a hedge

And as I peered out like a baby bird from a ledge

I seen a Sea of clouds

All Spread Out

As far as The Eye could See

Like an Ephemeral misty Sea

And The Horizon was All sun

Though It was nearly done

Still The Light Shone on

As if It could Never be Gone

And what Now was sky?

When there was Only Fire above my eyes

And below was All white

The clouds packed Together softly tight

And how could I do anything other than Look

And I may have been Seen and mistook

For a statue so Still

And yet never had The Air been so Moved by This thrill
